Every year I do a self-portrait, often based upon what’s going on in my life and the world around me. This year I painted a more literal translation of how I see things.
With a brush in hand, one eye sees things realistically while the other eye sees things abstractly. It’s how I paint. Gears in the lower portion of the painting represent thought.
